I've spent many a lost minutes recently dreaming about summer. There's this unwavering flame right inside of me dying to make this the best summer yet. I'm imagining lots of Popsicles and endless hours in the pool, fun family hikes followed by slurpees. Late night reading sessions that only compete with our S'mores at the fire pit.
My wanderings are inspired by my own childhood summers that included activities like catching fireflies and night tag and late night swimming sessions. They really don't seem all that long ago. I have always love, love, LOVED summer.
This is what I want to make happen this little summer:
Coronado
Picnic by airport

Instinctively in this dreaming, I'm already rehashing the details of the memories I've yet to create in this upcoming summer. Ultimately, I'm chasing nostalgia.
I've actually read before that the best memories we make in life are ones that we begin making before the experience actually happens. The anticipation helps cement the sweetness. You're onto something here!
