The day that's been talked about for years at Virtu finally found reality.
April 16, 2015 Virtu went public and started trading as a public company!
Wednesday, Yosh and I flew out to NYC and I must say…he was giddy! It was fun to be with him and feel of his excitement and be part of the big day. I don't think he stopped smiling for a full 36 hours.
Yosh went into work that day. I met him at about 2:30 where a bus took us to the Nasdaq. Him and his co-workers went in where they got to ring the closing bell. (funny fact: Etsy was also going public that day and got to ring the opening bell.) They had a company party. After that, we went to dinner with Lucas Hales, Nathan Roberts, and Rob Aird at some place Lucas picked (can't remember the name…)
It was a great day.
Proud of those Virtu boyz, especially one imparticalurly...
That is such a big achievement!! I loved reading all this. I also launched my company a few months back and now I am thinking to host an employee appreciation party. I want to make this event fun and enjoyable. So please suggest a couple of company party ideas friends!!
